“SISTEMA DI FISSAGGIO PER MOBILI D’ARREDO†. â € œFIXING SYSTEM FOR FURNITURE FURNITUREâ €.
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
Detta asta à ̈ vincolata superiormente a perno 29. The invention relates to a plug for joining together furniture components, such as panels or similar. In the furniture sector, cylindrical elements are known, called pins, to be placed in holes for joining panels. The pins, made of wood, steel or plastic, are inserted between the holes of two panels, often with the addition of glue to increase the fixing of the parts to be joined. In most cases the pins are forced into the holes in the pressure panels. Once arranged in the holes, the cylindrical pins thus conceived are difficult to extract from their seat. In the need to disassemble the furniture assembled with this type of pins, the disassembly operation is very difficult if not impossible without damaging the furniture. To avoid these disadvantages, pins with mechanical actuation of parts have been devised to allow easy assembly or disassembly of the parts making up the piece of furniture. The plugs currently in use mainly provide eccentrics capable of varying a part of the dimension of the plug or tails of the plug which widen or tighten adapting to the corresponding bushing positioned in the relative panel. However, the production of plugs with eccentrics is expensive, their application remains visible externally and limits their application only to cases in which the total cost of the furniture allows its use. Furthermore, the use of pins with eccentrics requires different processing steps between the panels to be joined, increasing processing costs. The object of the result is a new and original fixing system for furniture which, with mechanical elements, is able to increase or decrease the transversal dimensions of the pin to be inserted between the holes in the panels. Since the increase in the transversal dimensions of the pin occurs by translating two or more parts of the pin in parallel, the invention has the advantage of joining the planes in alignment or perpendicularity with extreme geometric precision in the assembly between the parts. Another advantage obtained by the invention is given by the fact that there is no need for additional or different processes from those currently in use for fixing traditional cylindrical pins. It is therefore not necessary to modify or replace existing machinery or production lines for furniture components. The invention is, in fact, made up of an element similar in shape and size to the current cylindrical pins for joining panels. The invention is also very versatile in applications as it can easily adapt to various pin hole sizes. A further advantage of the invention is given by the fact that it consists of elements that are not visible on the outside of the components, thus improving the functionality of the fixing, the aesthetics and the quality of the furniture itself. Furthermore, the fixing system according to the invention can be recovered and reused to assemble other furniture. As it does not require glues, the fixing system according to the result does not use harmful or difficult to dispose of material. The use of the invention then allows to reduce and optimize the construction time of the piece of furniture. The fastening system for furnishing furniture includes a plug consisting of at least two parts capable of modifying its transversal dimensions through an internal mechanism that allows the external walls of the plug to be moved, keeping them parallel to each other to increase or decrease the pressure of the walls of the plug in the holes of the panels to be joined or separated. These and other objects and advantages of the fastening system according to the result will be more evident from the following detailed description with reference to the attached drawings of sheets 1, 2, 3 and 4. which illustrate, purely by way of indication and as such not limitative, the found. In particular on sheet 1 figure 1 is a perspective view of the closed invention. Figure 2 still on sheet 1 is a perspective view of the open invention. On sheet 2, Figure 3 is a sectional view of the closed invention with the translating elements joined together, while Figure 4 is a sectional view of the open invention, that is, with the translating elements widened in the hole. On sheet 3, figures 5 and 6 are views of another form of application. In detail, figure 5 is a side view while figure 6 is a top view. Finally, on sheet 4 figure 7 is a side view of a further form of application. The fixing system for furnishing furniture according to the result comprises a pin 1 consisting of at least two parts 1A and 1B capable of modifying its transversal dimensions by means of an internal mechanism 2, in which the internal mechanism 2 allows the translation of the parts 1A and 1B keeping them parallel to each other to increase or decrease the pressure of the parts 1A and 1B in the holes 3 of the shelves of a piece of furniture. In a preferred form of application, the internal mechanism 2 is constituted, at one end of the pin 1, by a cylindrical appendix 4 on the semi-cylindrical part 1A, with the cylindrical appendix 4 arranged in the through hole 5 of suitable dimensions such as to allow the cylindrical appendage 4 to slide inside it. The through hole 5 is placed at the same height as the extreme appendage of the pin 1 there is a screw 6 having the head 7 inside a pocket 8 with a retaining element 9 of the head 7 of the screw 6. The screw 6 It can be screwed or unscrewed from the tip by means of a hexagonal socket 6 A from the through hole 11 made on a panel to allow the insertion of a tool, such as a Allen key, into the hexagonal socket 6A. By pocket 8 we mean a cavity of sufficient width to accommodate the head 7 of the screw 6 and with the retaining element 9 a metal element fixed to the pocket 8 is defined with, on the face of the retaining element 9, a hole 12 in which inside, the shank of the screw 6 can rotate and with dovetails 13 placed to avoid the relative rotation of the retaining element 9 inside the pocket 8. The tip of the screw 6 can be screwed, in technically equivalent form, also with cut or cross made in place of the hexagonal recess 6A, with screw 6 screwed or unscrewed by means of a screwdriver. Furthermore, the components of the pin 1 located on the semi-circular part 1A, such as the cylindrical appendix 4 and the through hole 10, as well as the elements of the pin located on the part 1B, such as the through hole 5, the pocket 8 and the retaining element 9, are invertible, that is, they can be placed either on part 1B or on part 1A. On the outer walls of the semicircular parts 1A and 1B there are transversal elements 14, such as for example fins, to improve the grip inside the holes 3 made in the panels to be joined. During use, plug 1 is inserted into hole 3 of the wooden panel. The pin remains half inside hole 3 and half outside. At this point, one panel is joined to the other, inserting the other half of the pin in the corresponding hole 3 of the other panel. Through the through hole 11, by means of a tool, such as for example an Allen key in the case in which the head of the screw 6 has a corresponding hexagonal recess 6A or a screwdriver if the tip of the screw has a notch or a cross, they are widened or the semicircular parts 1A and 1B are tightened with the transverse elements 14 which press on the walls of the holes 3, adapting and stabilizing the panels, or distance themselves from the internal walls of the holes. In another form of application, the internal mechanism 2 consists of a toothed cylinder 15 which engages on racks 16 parallel to each other and arranged at opposite ends of the toothed cylinder 15. The racks 16 are equipped with fittings 17 at the ends. The toothed cylinder 15 also has a hexagonal recess 18 of dimensions corresponding to the dimensions of an Allen wrench. The internal mechanism 2 is placed inside a prism-shaped cavity 19 between parts 20A and 20B. In part 20A there is a cavity 20 with walls 21 and with crosspieces 22. The part 20B instead has an L shape. The parts 20A and 20B are connected by springs 23. On the external walls of the parts 20A and 20B there are transverse elements 24 , such as fins to improve grip inside the holes 3 of the panels to be joined. During the assembly phase, the parts 20A and 20B widen or tighten each other in parallel by means of an Allen key placed in the hole 11 and in the hexagonal recess 18 of the toothed cylinder 15. In a further form of application, the toothed cylinder 15 with recess hexagonal 18 meshes with toothed wheel 25 arranged above the toothed cylinder 15. Said toothed wheel 25 has a pivot on a rod 26, with the pin free to slide and fixed with connection means in a slot 27, with the means of connections that prevent the pin from coming out of the slot 27. By means of gears the toothed mota 25 meshes with the rack 28 made on the rod 26 to allow it to be translated vertically. Said rod is constrained at the top to pin 29. At the other end of said rod there is a further slot 30, in which the cylinder pin 15 is placed with suitable fastening means to prevent the pin from coming out of the slot 30. The parts 30A and 30B are therefore capable of translating each other by means of crank devices 31 connected to each other by the pin 29. By acting with an Allen key located in the hole 11 and in the hexagonal recess 18, it is also possible to obtain in this case the translation of the parts 30A and 30B which press with the transversal projecting parts 32 or distance themselves from the internal walls of the holes 3, allowing the assembly or disassembly of the panels. The invention is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept and all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent ones without thereby departing from the scope of protection established by the claims.
