Forma oggetto della presente innovazione una nuova forma costruttiva di astuccio rigido di custodia degli occhiali, per la quale forma si rende possibile un suo accorciamento telescopico e quindi una riduzione del suo ingombro, quando non sia destinato a contenere gli occhiali. Con riferimento alla fig. 6, appare evidente che, rispetto alla condizione di fig. 5, si ha un accorciamento telescopico dello stesso astuccio (1), a seguito di una leggera spinta contemporanea delle semiogive (12 - 22), per farle scorrere fino alla mezzeria dei tegoli (11 e 21) e delle semiogive (13 — 23), per farle scorrere sulle altre mezzerie dei medesimi tegoli (11 -21), fino a farli scomparire completamente dalla vista, nel momento che i bordi (12e - 13e) del coperchio (10) ed i bordi (22e - 23e) del fondo (20) si toccano tra loro. Con il contatto tra detti bordi (12e 13e) e (22e - 23e) si ha anche l’inserimento delle sporgenze (12r - 23r) nelle rispettive sedi di testa ( 13 r — 22r), per assicurare la migliore tenuta del medesimo astuccio (1). Naturalmente, questa condizione di compattamento si rende possibile ogni qual volta l’astuccio (1 ) non sia destinato al contenimento degli occhiali, assicurando così una effettiva riduzione dell’astuccio stesso, conforme allo scopo principale specificato. Analogamente, con un leggero sforzo di trazione delle coppie di semiogive (12 - 22) e (13 - 23), à ̈ possibile ripristinare la condizione telescopica allungata, come esemplificato in fig. 5.
