Materiale composito da costruzione e suo procedimento di fabbricazione realizzato sottoforma di prisma, caratterizzato da: - una lamella centrale (2) costituita da legno di abete massello o da pannelli monostrato di abete, eventualmente anche giuntati, o da multistrati ad incollaggio fenolico; - due lamelle intermedie (3) costituite da fogli di Neopor®150, ossia di polistirene espanso con addizione di polvere di grafite, ovvero di qualsiasi altro materiale dalle medesime caratteristiche; - lamelle estreme (4) costituite da legno massello o da un pannello multistrato ad incollaggio fenolico o, in alternativa, da un pannello di legno listellare placcato con fogli di MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) idrofugo e/o ignifugo, anche eventualmente accoppiato ad una guaina in piombo per schermature ai raggi ionizzanti.
