Sul mercato sono reperibili letti per massaggi di vario genere. Il prodotto classico per eccellenza e’ formato da un piano rigido imbottito e rivestito di materiale similpelle. Negli ultimi anni hanno trovato largo uso i materassini ad acqua. Raramente vengono usate superfici rigide e mai il marmo a causa della freddezza del supporto. La superficie e’ spazzolata, in gergo lapideo la spazzolatura rende il piano liscio ma ondulato. Vedi disegni e foto allegati Al, A2, A3. Nelle resistenze sono stati previsti due fori che dopo l’applicazione sul travertino, vengono usati per individuare il punto dove forare il piano alla profondità’ di circa 3 cm. su cui vengono posti quattro tasselli per il fissaggio del pannello di chiusura in mdf (medium density fibreboard) ignifugo. Rispetto al modello sperimentale e’ stato eliminato il cartongesso che nelle fasi di spostamento deH’apparato, tendeva a rompersi. Pertanto le due resistenze non funzionano all’unisono ma possono avere un’alternanza, creando impercettibili differenze di temperatura nelle zone del piano(si parla al massimo di 1-2 decimali di grado). Per ovviare e’ possibile modificare lo schema del quadro inserendo un deviatore che colleghi alternativamente ogni singola sonda ad entrambi i termoregolatori. In questo modo si può’ reimpostare gli indicatori digitali su due parametri diversi (es. massaggio soft a bassa temperatura e massaggio strong a temperatura piu’ elevata) e farli funzionare alternativamente a seconda delle esigenze personali ed evitare all’operatore l’onere della programmazione.
