Despite the reduced thickness of these boxes, when the buyer is in possession of a significant number of compact discs or video discs, the space occupied by them in containers, filing cabinets, displays or other becomes considerable.

This, in addition to clashing with the usual requirements of practicality of use, makes any transport difficult.

It should also be pointed out that the usual plastic boxes do not have any antistatic, anti-humidity or anti-dust treatment so that the discs, even if stored in a closed environment, are equally subject to the danger of deterioration.

The main aim of the present invention is to provide a container / classifier for compact discs or the like capable of housing a significant number of disks in a small space.

A consequent primary object is to provide a container / classifier which is characterized by extreme manageability and ease of use.

Another important object is to provide a container / classifier capable of providing improved protection on the diskettes contained therein.

Not least object is to provide a container / classifier which can be manufactured at low cost with the usual machines and systems.

These and still other purposes, which will appear more clearly later, are achieved by a container / classifier, characterized in that it comprises an openable box-like body, inside which a plurality of envelopes are arranged, preferably in soft antistatic, dustproof material. and scratch-resistant, said envelopes being open at the top and divided into compartments each suitable for containing a compact disc or the like, an identification label projecting from it being associated with each compartment.

Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become clearer from the detailed description of an embodiment thereof illustrated by way of example, but not limiting its scope, in the attached drawings in which:

fig. 1 is a perspective view of the container / classifier in question, open;

fig. 3 shows one of the torso contained in the container / classifier of fig. 1;

fig. 4 is a perspective view which illustrates a variant embodiment of the container / classifier in question;

fig. 5 represents a first possible use of the lid;

fig. 6 represents a second possible use of the lid.

With reference to the above-mentioned figures 1 to 3, a container / classifier for compact discs or the like comprises an openable box-like body 1, for example consisting of a parallelepiped case, in rigid or not material, equipped with handles 2 and attachments 3 for a possible shoulder strap not illustrated.

A plurality of envelopes 4 preferably made of soft antistatic, dustproof and scratchproof material are arranged inside the box-like body 1, each connected between two longitudinal racks not shown.

Conveniently, this material can consist of fabric or the like on a flocked paper support. Each envelope 4, advantageously made with various overlapping and sewn sheets, is divided into compartments open at the top each suitable for containing a compact disc 5, a video disc or similar product.

Said envelopes 4 can be made in different colors, according for example to a color code identifying a color for each musical genre.

At the top, in correspondence with each compartment of the sheets that make up the envelope 4, there are appendages on which frames 6 carrying labels 7 are fixed, where inscriptions identifying each disk 5 can be reported.

Conveniently, the labels 7 are arranged with respect to each other in a scaled fashion as a telephone book.

With reference now to figure 4 cited above, a variant embodiment of the container / classifier in question comprises a box-like body, now indicated by 101, whose front wall 102 can be overturned, one end of a series of envelopes 103 being attached to it 1 one to the other as a gusset, the other end of the bags being fixed to the rear wall of the box-like body 101.

The ends of rods 104 are articulated to the sides of the front wall 102, the opposite ends of which are suitably constrained to slide in guides 105 present longitudinally on the side walls 106.

The bellows-like construction of the envelopes and the possibility of overturning the front wall 102 obtains the effect of opening the disappearances in which the discs are stored.

With reference now to figure 5 previously cited, the lid of the box-like body 1, indicated by 8, if of the deep type, can be used to contain the brochures 9 illustrating each disc which can be stored therein, for example, in a bellows collector 10. bound to it, or in a binder of another type.

With reference now to figure 6 mentioned above, the same cover 8 can be equipped with an opening door 11 and constitute the compartment, for example, for a compact disc player, a video disc player with viewer, a videotape or the like.

Naturally, in this case, connections for connection to an electrical energy source can be provided.

From what has been described above, it is easy to understand how the container / classifier in question is able to house a considerable number of disks in a small space and is designed for immediate consultation and selection.

In the case configuration it is also extremely handy and compact.

It should also be noted that the disks placed in the container / classifier in question are particularly protected from humidity, dust, danger of scratches, etc.

The container / classifier is also particularly suitable for possibly housing disc players, etc.,

In practice it has thus been found that the container / classifier in question has achieved the intended aim and objects.

The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept, thus, for example, the said wall 102, instead of being overturned, can be translated orthogonally to its own position.

Furthermore, all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.

In practice, the materials employed, so long as they are compatible with the contingent use, may be any according to requirements.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS 1) Container / classifier characterized by the fact of comprising an openable box-like body inside which a plurality of envelopes are arranged, preferably in soft antistatic, dustproof and scratchproof material, said envelopes being open at the top and divided into compartments designed to each contain a compact disc or the like, each compartment being associated with an identification label projecting therefrom. 2) Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized by the fact that said openable box-like body is constituted by a case or the like in rigid or not rigid material. 3) Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized in that said envelopes are made in different colors so as to identify a color code. 4) Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized in that the said soft material constituting the said envelopes is preferably fabric or the like on a flocked paper support. 5) Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized by the fact that said envelopes are constrained between two longitudinal racks fixed to the walls of said box-like body. 6) Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized by the fact that the front wall of said box-like body can be overturned, the end of a bellows element being fixed to it which integrates the said envelopes, the other end of the said element bellows being fixed to the rear wall of said box-like body. 7} Container / classifier as in claim 1, characterized by the fact that the front wall is detachable and sliding orthogonally to its position, one end of a bellows element being fixed to the same wall which integrates the said envelopes, the other end of the said bellows element being fixed to the wall of said box-like body. 8) Container / classifier as in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said lid constitutes the seat for illustrative brochures of the contained products. 9} Container / classifier as in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said lid is designed to contain producers of compact discs reproducing video discs with viewer, videotape, etc. 10) Container / classifier for compact discs or the like as in one or more of the preceding claims, which is characterized by what is described and illustrated in the attached drawings tables.
