Un motocompressore (1), in particolare per un refrigeratore, comprende una testa di cilindro (10) fissata su un corpo di cilindro (5), tra tale testa (10) e corpo di cilindro (5) essendo interposta una piastra (11), a cui sono associate usuali valvole (14, 15) poste su condotti di aspirazione (12) e mandata (13).Secondo l'innovazione, la testa di cilindro (10) è realizzata in almeno due porzioni (21, 22) cave, accoppiate tra loro, almeno una di tali porzioni (22) essendo realizzata in materiale avente bassi valori di conduttività termica. Le due porzioni (21, 22) della testa di cilindro (10) sono fisicamente separate tra loro: una di esse (22) presenta almeno una cavità fungente da cavità di aspirazione, l'altra porzione presenta invece almeno una cavità fungente da cavità di scarico.
