The purpose? what do you intend to achieve? disinfecting money, which has always been a "receptacle for germs", frequently passing from one hand to the other, in the current state of the Covid 2019 pandemic, represents a danger for contagion; also the?World Health Organization? (WHO) and the decalogue of the Ministry of Health for hygiene standards, recommend avoiding any contact with the face before washing your hands carefully, if you have handled money. Nations like China, Korea, Italy itself have already? initiated disinfection procedures (for storage in quarantine in Italy) of all banknotes in circulation. But certainly there? it is not a solution! Money should be disinfected continuously, using ultraviolet rays with a suitable wavelength (ultraviolet type C-UVC) below 280 nanometres, with specific fluorescent or LED lamps; the disinfection effect (if ozone is not also used) occurs only on the surfaces affected by the light, therefore one must be careful to irradiate both sides of the coins (taking care not to place the sanitized side on the area that has been in shade and which has been in contact with the side to be sanitized). Some UVC lamps (those that emit at wavelengths below 254 nanometres) are capable of converting atmospheric oxygen into ozone. Ozone has an advantage in disinfection, in the case of powerful lamps and used in containers: being gaseous, it can reach even where the light does not reach. The action time varies for each type of lamp or equipment, depending on the power, the type of wavelength emitted, if it is? in a box or not, if there are reflective surfaces. The conceived integrated self-service checkout consists of three fundamental blocks:

1. authentication technology (counterfeit banknotes are automatically rejected and returned);

2. sanitization technology (figure 1, note la) ultraviolet rays and/or disinfection with ozone in closed box; banknote recirculation module with denominations of 5?, 10?, 20? and 50? (and any other denomination) with the dual function of receiving money and dispensing it in the change phase;

3. deposit box to be emptied at the end of the day/working day.

A.2 CLAIMS The parts covered by the patent are represented by the sanitizing technology (note 1a and 2a) to be introduced in the operating cycle of all self-service automatic tills and cash dispensers: 1. of any kind, type and size (according to work requirements); 2. with or without integrated electronic payment; 3. with or without operator; 4. with C-UVC ultraviolet system combined or not with ozone production; 5. cash management with or without remote control; 6. with possibility? of integration in cash registers or their replacement.
