E' noto il problema della raccolta delle deiezioni nei luoghi pubblici. In particolare i proprietari di cani sono finora ricorsi a palette o sacchetti per la raccolta e lo smaltimento delle feci ma per quanto riguarda i liquidi è quasi impossibile evitare di sporcare per terra e molte ordinanze comunali hanno affrontato il problema del decoro e della pulizia cittadina sanzionando i proprietari degli animali ove possibile.
