TEXT OF THE DESCRIPTION

The present patent application for industrial invention relates to a chair for yoga and functional gymnastics exercises.

The artifact in question, which apparently has no direct antecedents, was conceived as a gymnastic tool designed to guarantee the respective user the possibility of performing yoga and functional gymnastics exercises even at home and without having to equip himself with a classic expensive, bulky and sophisticated exercise equipment.

More precisely, the idea behind the present invention is to make a chair equipped with a singular structure, substantially formed by two cooperating components.

The first of these components consists of a round seat which is capable, also due to its considerable width, of allowing the respective user to assume on it some different gymnastic positions, of the type that one assumes, for example, when one wants to work on the abdominal muscles or when you want to work on the muscles of the arms and shoulders.

The second of the aforementioned components consists of a set of three long legs resting on the ground, arranged in such a way as to define a conical space between them, as they are equipped with a convergent structure towards the top.

Thanks to a similar arrangement, the three aforementioned legs are used to fix the aforementioned round seat between them, at about half of their height.

Considering, however, that these legs assume a divergent position downwards and that the aforementioned round seat is fixed at about half of their height, we understand how the circular support base (defined precisely by the three lower ends of these legs) has a significantly larger surface than the surface of the overlying round seat.

This ensures that the chair in question has very high stability - understood as the ability to withstand overturning stresses - such as to allow it to remain standing even when the respective user has assumed unbalanced postures on them.

It can be said otherwise that the presence of these three legs spread apart ensures that the user's center of gravity - even in the presence of "extreme" gymnastic postures - remains within the round support base defined by these same legs.

For their part, the upper sections of these legs - those that extend upwards from the seat - form a sort of conical cage into which the user's body must fit; in this way they lend themselves to constituting effective gripping points for the hands of the person who has taken a seat on the same session and perhaps intends to perform strength exercises intended for training the arms, torso or shoulders.

In fact, the possibility of gripping the aforementioned upper sections of the legs of the chair in question guarantees the user to be able to maintain a stable position on the aforementioned seat, protecting himself from any risks of falls due to the assumption of postures that are not perfectly balanced.

Moreover, the risks of falls are further limited also by the fact that a large part of the body of the person who has taken a seat on the seat of the chair in question is practically contained within that aforementioned conical cage formed by the upper sections of the legs themselves.

For greater clarity of explanation, the description of the invention continues with reference to the attached drawing tables, having only illustrative and certainly not limiting value, in which: - figure 1 is an axonometric representation of the chair in question;

- Figures 2 and 3 show, with as many schematic axonometric representations, two of the many possible ways of using the chair itself.

With reference to figure 1, the chair in question (S) uses a load-bearing frame formed by a set of three metal rods (1, 2, 3) - in practice as many legs - fixed to each other in an upward converging arrangement and arranged at regular angular intervals, such as to define a conical vertical space.

A round seat (6) intended to accommodate the user of the chair in question (1) is fixed inside a similar set of three rods (1, 2, 3), and substantially halfway up the rods.

With respect to this seat (6) it is therefore possible to identify the lower sections (1a, 2a, 3a) of the aforementioned rods (1, 2, 3) - those resting on the ground and therefore effectively acting as support legs for the chair (1) - and the upper sections (1b, 2b, 3b) of the same.

In fact, the lower sections (1a, 2a, 3a) of these rods (1, 2, 3) rest on the ground delimiting the circular surface inscribed inside them; the respective upper portions (1b, 2b, 3b) are joined at the top at a large central ring (4), arranged vertically.

The union of this triad of rods (1, 2, 3) is further stabilized by a horizontal connecting element, substantially consisting of an arch (5) between the upper sections (1b, 2b, 3b) of the rods (1 , 2, 3).

More precisely, said bow (5) is mounted between the three rods (1, 2, 3) in such a way that its first end (5a) is welded to the first (1) of the rods themselves and that its second end (5b) is welded to the third (3) of the rods, while the second rod (2) is welded to the center line of this arch (5).

In this way the front opening (5c) of the arch (5) is arranged in an intermediate position between the aforementioned first (1) and third rod (3), configuring itself as an access section to the aforementioned conical space, otherwise configurable as a sort of cage, defined by the converging upper sections (1b, 2b, 3b) of the three rods (1, 2, 3).

It is also understood that the aforementioned arch (5) can also be considered as a containment element for the user who takes a seat on the seat (6), within the aforementioned conical space between the upper sections ( 1b, 2b, 3b) of the rods (1, 2, 3).

To further increase the level of rigidity and strength of the chair in question (1), it is still envisaged that the same adopts, under the aforementioned seat (6), a horizontal ring (7), welded between the lower ends ( 1a, 2a, 3a) of the three rods (1, 2, 3) and, if necessary, to act as a footrest.

The aforementioned figures 2 and 3 show only two of the many possibilities of using the chair in question (1), which of course are conditioned by the specific posture that the user wishes to assume, from time to time, on the seat (6).

In particular, figure 2 shows a user who has sat on the seat (6) keeping his legs outside the space between the first (1) and the third rod (3) and leaning with his armpits on the aforementioned arch (5 ).

Thanks to such a posture, the user could perhaps train the abdominals, keeping the legs straight and swinging them alternately from the position shown in figure 2 (in correspondence with which they are oriented towards the ground) to a horizontal position, substantially flush with the sitting (6).

Figure 3 instead shows a user who sat on the seat (6) in a substantially opposite position, that is to say with the legs inserted in the two spaces respectively included between the first (1) and the second (2) and between the second (2) and the third (3) of the rods.

This figure also shows the possible advantageous use of the aforementioned top ring (4), to which in fact the aforementioned user's hands can attach themselves firmly during the execution of their exercises.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS 1) Chair formed by a load-bearing frame, comprising three inclined rods (1, 2, 3) converging upwards, between which a round seat (6) is fixed, at a point between the lower ends (1a, 2a , 3a) and the upper ends (1b, 2b, 3b) of the same rods (1, 2, 3). 2) Chair according to claim 1, in which the aforesaid rods (1, 2, 3) are arranged at regular angular intervals. 3) Chair according to one of the preceding claims, in which the aforesaid rods (1, 2, 3) are mutually fixed at the top. 4) Chair according to claim 3, in which the aforementioned rods (1, 2, 3) are fixed at the top with the interposition of a ring (4) mounted vertically. 5) Chair according to one of the preceding claims, in which the three aforementioned rods (1, 2, 3) are equipped, above the aforementioned seat (6), with a stiffening arch (5) mounted horizontally, in so that the first end (5a) of said bow (5) is welded to the first (1) of the aforementioned rods and that the second end (5b) of the same is welded to the third (3) of the aforementioned rods and in such a way that the second (2) of the aforesaid rods is welded in correspondence with the center line of the arch itself (5). 6) Chair according to one of the preceding claims, in which the aforementioned rods (1, 2, 3) support, under the aforementioned seat (6), a horizontal ring (7) welded between them.
