CLAIMS 1. Apparatus for vertically moving a piece of furniture, comprising: - a piece of furniture (50) delimiting a compartment; - a rigid swinging arm (20a, 22a, 20b, 22b) with one end hinged around a horizontal axis (X1, X2) at a fixed point and with the other end hinged to the rear of the cabinet around a horizontal axis (X3, X4); - a lifting system (70, 90) to rotate the rigid arm and thus raise or lower the furniture.

Apparatus according to claim 1, comprising a pair of rigid arms each with one end hinged around a horizontal axis to a respective fixed point and with the other end hinged to a respective point on the back of the cabinet around a horizontal axis, so that the two arms together form an articulated parallelogram, with the movable arms within the same vertical plane.

3. Apparatus according to claim 2, comprising two pairs of arms as defined in claim 2, each pair mounted at opposite sides of the cabinet.

Apparatus according to claim 2 or 3, where one or each pair of arms comprises: - two arms of equal length, e - two connecting elements (30) for the two arms, one end of each arm being hinged to each connecting element respectively in two points placed at different heights vertically and staggered horizontally, so as to form an articulated parallelogram.

Apparatus according to claim 4, wherein one or each connecting element (30) consists of an L-shaped corner bracket. 6. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, in which one or each said fixed point is included in a wall (12) belonging to a second fixed piece of furniture which comprises a second compartment (10) integral with the wall and placed below each fixed point , so that the movable piece of furniture (50) is moved from a first raised position in which it is above the second piece of furniture to a second lowered position in which it is in front of the second piece of furniture, or vice versa.
