Wheel cover assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the inserts (20) comprise an external surface (21), able to remain visible when the inserts (20) are fixed to the wheel trim (10), and an internal surface (22 ), able to face towards the wheel trim (10) when the inserts (20) are fixed to the wheel trim (10), and in which the male elements (23) are connected to central positions of the inner surface (22) of the inserts (20 ), i.e. away from the peripheral edges (26) of the inserts (20).

Wheel cover assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the inserts (20) comprise at least an auxiliary flap (25) arranged transversely with respect to the radial directions of the wheel trim (10) and able to be inserted in a corresponding slot (19) obtained in the wheel cover (10).

Wheel cover assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the inserts (20) are at least partially overlapped with spokes (13) of the wheel cover (10).

7. Set of inserts for a wheel trim for a vehicle wheel rim, in which the inserts (20) comprise male elements (23) adapted to engage in respective holes (16) of the rim trim (10) for fixing the inserts (20) to the wheel cover (10), said male elements (23) having, at their free ends, engagement edges (24) having a greater extension than the holes (16) of the wheel cover (10).

Insert set according to claim 7, wherein the inserts (20) comprise an outer surface (21), adapted to remain visible when the inserts (20) are fixed to the wheel trim (10), and an inner surface (22) , adapted to be turned towards the wheel trim (10) when the inserts (20) are fixed to the wheel trim (10), and in which the male elements (23) are connected to central positions of the inner surface (22) of the inserts (20) , i.e. away from peripheral edges (26) of the inserts (20).

9. Kit of inserts according to claim 7 or 8, in which the inserts (20) include at least one auxiliary flap (25) able to be inserted in a corresponding slot (19) obtained in the wheel cover (10).

10. Method of attaching interchangeable inserts (20) to a wheel trim (10) and removing such inserts (20) from the wheel trim (10), comprising the steps of: - providing a wheel cover (10) comprising a plurality of holes (16); - providing at least one insert (20) comprising male elements (23) provided, at their ends, with engagement edges (24) having a greater extension than the holes (16) of the wheel cover (10); - fasten the at least one insert (20) to the wheel trim (10) by inserting the male elements (23) in the respective holes (16) of the wheel trim (10) so that the engagement edges (26) protrude from these respective holes (16 ), preventing the male elements (23) from slipping out of the holes (16); P4388IT00 - cut the engagement edges (24) of at least one insert (20) from the respective male elements (23); - separate Γ at least one insert (20) from the wheel trim (10) by extracting the male elements (23), from which the engagement edges (24) have been cut, from the respective holes (16) of the wheel trim (10).
