Abstract

Equipment comprising one or more sections, each of which is particularly active for the removal of one or a group of pollutants characteristic of the polluted air in metropolitan environments, has been designed and dimensioned in such a way that it can be conveniently installed on board motor vehicles. The process performed by this equipment makes it possible to purify air polluted with carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, ozone, unburnt hydrocarbons, particulates, dusts and internal combustion engine exhaust gases in general with the expenditure of negligible energy with respect to the throughput of air treated. <IMAGE>
