Abstract

A motor vehicle seat is mounted on an auxiliary supporting structure 7 which is supported in cantilever fashion by a vertical wall 3b of a longitudinal central tunnel 3 which forms part of the platform 2 of the motor vehicle through guide means for adjusting the longitudinal position of the seat. As a result of this feature the space beneath the seat is completely free and can also be accessed laterally from outside the vehicle. <IMAGE>
