Abstract
A board made from cardboard, in particular, but not exclusively, for the production of containers, comprising a first sheet 1, a second sheet 2, and a sheet of corrugated paper 3, enclosed by and rigidly attached to the first and second sheet 1, 2. At least one of the abovementioned sheets 1, 2 comprises at least one layer of metal. More precisely, the sheets comprising at least one layer of metal can be made simply from a film of tinfoil or aluminium or from a backing film 1a of metallised paper or plastic film 1b on one of the surfaces. The panel is particularly suitable for reducing the cost of food containers, above all for hot foods, since the paper parts can be made from recycled paper owing to the barrier effect created by the metal layer.
