Abstract

The device for taking an impression in order to make a denture secured to one or more previously installed implants in the bone of the upper or lower jaw, comprises: a stump pin or "transfert" having a prismatic body from which emerges coaxially a permanently bendable foot which then continues as a prismatic coaxial peduncle, which can be joined to a prismatic cavity made in the implant, on the bottom of the cavity there being provided a blind coaxial threaded hole; and a cap having a prismatic coaxial cavity that can be joined coaxially to the body of the "transfert". Both the "transfert" and the cap have a continuous coaxial hole, the hole of the "transfert" can be inserted into a stem portion, partially threaded, of an anchoring element, the latter also having a portion of coaxial head in a single piece, the head being of overall cylindrical shape and laterally threaded to allow it to be screwed into the blind threaded hole of the implant. In the prismatic cavity of the implant the prismatic peduncle of the "transfert" is accommodated. In the continuous hole of the "transfert" the stem portion of the anchoring element can be threaded with its head adjacent to the peduncle, the threaded part of the stem portion projecting in part of the cap fitted on the body of the "transfert", the stem portion being of elastically bendable material. The assembly of anchoring element, "transfert", and cap, once the head portion of the anchoring element is screwed into the blind threaded hole of the implant, can be locked on the implant by a nut that can be screwed onto the threaded portion, projecting from the cap, of the step portion of the anchoring element. <IMAGE>
