Abstract
A process for the preparation of optically pure enantiomers of Flurbiprofen of formula I <IMAGE> which comprises esterification of the racemic acid with a lower aliphatic alcohol in the presence of supportive Candida antarctica lipases and separation of the acid ester is described.
