Abstract
Improved method for the production of controlled-swelling three-dimensional snacks in which downstream from an intermediate station for a rotary or alternating pellet forming cycle provision is made for: - the recovery of offcuts (waste) originating from the pellet forming cycle which are comminuted and recycled upstream automatically to the moistening mixer, - passage of the cut shapes into a convection stove for first swelling and partial drying, - a finishing cycle for the shapes making openings which might be filled through injection, - and finally for these shapes to be preferably fried in a hot oil bath and possibly flavoured on the surface with aromatic powders and then packed. <IMAGE>
