Abstract
Continuous speed variator 1 in which a driving pulley 5 and a driven pulley 6 are formed by respective half- pulleys 5a, 5b; 6a, 6b which can be axially moved together or apart, whose internal conical surfaces 5c, 6c are formed with corresponding respective radial grooves 16, 17 which engage in sliding manner with two respective circumferential series 18, 19 of intermediate pressing elements 20 having respective pressing teeth 24, which engage with a closed-ring transmission chain 7. Between each pressing element 20 and the contiguous pressing element there is placed an elastic connection element 25. <IMAGE>
