Abstract

By the term dynamic allocation of resources (ADR) is meant various techniques whose purpose is to dynamically reassign the radio resources to the various cells of a cellular mobile radio system in order to follow the possible fluctuations in traffic in real-time. By resources meant the physical entity which guarantees the supporting of the radio frequency communication. The present document describes a new ADR technique known as geometrical ADR; this technique is based on the acquisition of the resources by the base stations according to the priority lists which are shared by the groups of base stations that cannot interfere with each other. Such technique, according to simulations which have been carried out, proves to have much better performance than the techniques known thus far. Also described are several methods which augment the efficiency of the ADR technique. <IMAGE>
