Abstract

Un materiale composito presentante una carica rinforzante annegata in una matrice polimerica costituita da un prodotto di policondensazione con aldeide, tipo resina fenolica o melamminica, è ottenuto apprettando la carica rinforzante, ad esempio costituita da fibra di vetro, di carbonio, aramidica o metallica, con un appretto contenente un agente di filmazione scelto nel gruppo consistente in poliuretani, poliammiidi, poliuree, poliammino-amidi, poliammine e policarbodiimmidi, impregnando la carica rinforzante così apprettata con una resina allo stato fluido e polimerizzando per policondensazione la resina in presenza d'aldeide libera fino ad ottenere una matrice solida perfettamente aderente alla carica; l'apprettatura a base poliuretanica può essere eseguita durante la filatura della fibra oppure successivamente, prima dell'impregnazione con la resina e previa rimozione dell'eventuale apprettatura difilatura.(Figura 4)A composite material having a reinforcing filler embedded in a polymeric matrix consisting of a polycondensation product with aldehyde, such as phenolic or melamine resin, is obtained by sizing the reinforcing filler, for example consisting of glass, carbon, aramid or metal fiber, with a sizing containing a filming agent selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, polyamides, polyureas, polyamine-starches, polyamines and polycarbodiimides, impregnating the reinforcing filler thus prepared with a resin in a fluid state and polymerizing the resin by polycondensation in the presence of free aldehyde until a solid matrix perfectly adherent to the charge is obtained; polyurethane-based sizing can be carried out during fiber spinning or subsequently, before impregnation with the resin and after removing any thread sizing.
