Abstract

This invention relates to a hip prosthesis structure which has been specially designed to provide an optimum fit with the inside of the medullary canal of the femoral bone and comprises a shank of suitable size and variable length and of a shape having an asymmetrical transverse cross section. This shank is provided above with a neck having an enlarged shape at the top of which there is provided a tapering end having an axis suitably inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shank, while at the lower distal end of the shank there are appropriate recesses. <IMAGE>
