Abstract

The current in line 1 is made to flow from a mains input to a rectifier bridge 2 via a switch 3, and to flow to the line 4 which has an inverter circuit 5 and from the line 6 to a fluorescent tube 7, the inverter circuit 5 being acted on by a microprocessor 8 via the line 9 to regulate the current flowing in the said fluorescent tube 7. The current is also made to flow along the line 10 to a transformer 11 and then to a rectifier bridge 12, thus producing in the line 13 a low-voltage current which then flows to a load current control circuit 14 which is also controlled by the microprocessor 8 via the line 15. The circuit 14 supplies, via the line 16, a nickel-cadmium battery 17 and an emergency control circuit 18 which is also controlled by the microprocessor 8 via the line 19. In case of emergency, the current from the battery 17 flows into the line 20, being enabled to do so by the emergency control circuit 18. The said current supplies a step-up circuit 21 which is also controlled by the microprocessor 8 and has an output onto line 4 for illuminating the fluorescent tube 7. <IMAGE>
