Abstract
This invention relates to biodegradable polyester resin compositions which can be processed under the normal conditions under which the resins are used and is suitable for providing manufactured articles having properties which can be compared with those obtained from polyester resins. Aromatic polyester resins which in addition to biodegradability maintain good processability properties, formed from blocks of polyester resin and blocks of polycaprolactone have now been found. These resins are useful for the manufacture of containers by injection and blowing with properties similar to those obtained using conventional aromatic polyester resins. The products can degrade under the environmental conditions obtaining in composting units for solid urban wastes.
