Abstract
The method for production of the heat and acoustically insulating material of a glassy nature provides for the mixing of 3.5 parts of the powdered gassifying mixture comprising alkaline earth metal carbonates, a reducing agent and alkali metal chlorides with the other parts up to 100 of ordinary glass crushed to 70 microns. The said mixture is subjected to heating at an appropriate rate with temperature intervals for softening between 850 and 950 degree C which are necessary for the formation of cells with uniform gaps in relation to the reagent mass and corresponding cooling to ambient temperature. <IMAGE>
