Abstract

The present patent application concerns a special process that makes the fixing of stub-pins in root canals more effective and secure during the endodontic treatment of teeth. Essentially, the subject process makes use of a pin 1 along the longitudinal axis of which there is a core 2, in metal or graphite or other more suitable material, so that when the stub 3 is reconstructed and the final casting is made, it can be extracted to form a tube for drainage of the cement material. In fact, while the stub-pin thus made is being pressed into the root canal to fix it, the excess cement paste emerges either at the edges or especially from the tube 4, so that the internal pressure that is concentrated more at the apex of the pin, can easily discharge to the outside. <IMAGE>
