Procedimento in cui prima di ogni ciclo di lavaggio il cesto viene azionato in rotazione, senza introdurre acqua nella vasca, con una serie di movimenti alla velocità di lavaggio, poi ad una prima velocità (A) superiore a quella di lavaggio e ad una seconda velocità (C) compresa tra quelle di lavaggio e di centrifugazione, indi tale cesto viene decelerato in modo da raggiungere una terza velocità prestabilita (D), ed in cui il microprocessore provvede a misurare il periodo di tempo T3+T4 impiegato dal cesto per passare dalla velocità A alla velocità D, e tale tempo risulta esattamente correlato al peso della biancheria.
