Abstract
Process for the preparation of solid electrolytic films having good proton conducting properties and chemical and electrochemical stability, and placing the films in fuel cells by means of a process which provides better contact between the electrodes and the electrolyte. The process comprises drying a solution comprising organic polymers selected from the group comprising polyethylene oxide, polymethyl methacrylate and polypropylene oxide, a strong acid and/or an ammonium salt directly on the electrodes of the fuel cell, and then subjecting the electrodes to a specific pressure and again drying the solution in question under vacuum.
