Abstract

The device comprises a plurality of components to enable deaf-blind and other multiply-disabled people to express themselves and communicate, namely: - a communication keyboard based on the Malossi tactile alphabet system; - a Braille-system keyboard; - a Malossi-based system, in the form of an electronic unit, consisting of an alphanumeric keyboard and a liquid- crystal display to enable a sighted operator who does not know the tactile alphabet to establish a dialogue with the deaf-blind person; - a multiple Malossi system of the electronic unit type, with electronic interface cards, for the simultaneous dialogue of an operator with a plurality of deaf-blind persons; - a computerized Braille reading system.
