Abstract
Process for the purification of effluent waters (so- called "percolates") from dumps of solid urban wastes, comprising the stages of taking the percolate from a sedimentation and holding tank, and passing it to one or more concentration and distillation stages at the outlet of which two streams are obtained, namely: - a highly concentrated residue which contains almost all the original pollutant burden and is rendered solid and harmless by inertization based on silicates and cement; - a distillate which after neutralization of the pH is subjected to an activated sludge biological oxidation treatment also comprising the stages of nitrification and denitrification of the ammonia; at the outlet from this stage, purified water, in the sense of the current legislation, and which is reutilizable, is obtained. <IMAGE>
