Abstract
The present invention concerns a mechanism to improve rotation in eyeglass hinges, to eliminate axial and radial play and to produce blocking of the screw under conditions of normal and anomalous functioning, especially for hinges consisting of at least one pair of eyelets spaced from each other with a pair of coaxial holes and at least one central element arranged between the pair of eyelets and with a coaxial hole to the pair of holes of the eyelets. The central element is connected to the pair of eyelets by means of a screw which passes through the holes of the central element and the eyelets. The mechanism comprises an elastically deformable device that is arranged in the hole of the central element and surrounds the screw. This device is connected to rotate with the central element and can be elastically compressed in the axial direction by tightening of the screw to produce radial blocking compression of the device around the screw and to obtain friction in rotation of the central element around the axis of the screw relative to the cited device. With specified compression of the screw the device also blocks the two eyelets 2a-2b forming a single body composed of a plastic device, the two eyelets and the screw. <IMAGE>
