Abstract

The equipment for simulating ski-training consists: - of a supporting structure whose shape is designed to withstand the stresses generated during its use, and which is capable of offering solid anchorage points for the components which make up the mechanisms of the said simulator; - of 2 front pendulums and 2 rear pendulums which are able to swing freely and are fitted with elastic elements which provide suspension in the direction of their principal axis; - of 4 stop bars which are also able to swing freely and follow the movement of the pendulums and which, via suitable jaws integral with the footboards, can "lock" the latter on the said bar; - of 4 locking jaws which are located on the footboards in the region of the pendulums and which are capable of halting the suspension as a result of the inclination of the said footboard, brought about by the user with a movement identical to that performed by a skier when assuming the "snowplough" position with his skis; - of a system of supports consisting of ordinary ski poles resting on special surfaces or of suitable adjustable handlebars having fixed or jointed handgrips; - of two footboards, each of which is connected to a front pendulum and to a rear pendulum in order to allow the transverse swing of the footboards independently of each other. As an alternative to the two footboards, in order to simulate the use of a monoski or of a snowboard, it is possible to use a single footboard connected to two front pendulums and to two rear pendulums. <IMAGE>
