Abstract

Tool steel is made by melting together pulverised raw ore of olivine (an ore from Korea), required alloy components and stearic acid as binder. The olivine is pref. sintered. The compsn. of the mixt. used contains (wt.%) 40-45 olivine, 10-12 99% Cr; 35-40 65% Mo; 5-8 70% W and 3-10 stearic acid.
