Abstract

The invention centres on a mechanical microniser able to produce powders up to a class 10 micron and that is a combination of two machines: a roulette-type windmill or centrifuge with a low, central opening to let the air move and with sphere thrust steering made so as to include the air blown towards the vertical walls from the sphere's flow tube, and a dynamic wind separator set up on the cusp of the windmill's exit where the centrifuge ventilator's suction tube has also been placed. It has been found that, with this machine, it is possible to micronise up to and including class 10 microns and that, changing the rotation speed of the dynamic wind separator and the characteristics of the ventilator, the granulometry of the powder can be changed within the range of 500 to 10 microns.
