Alkanoid derived from L-Norcarnitina with the general formula (I)<IMAGE>in which R is a linear or branched, radical alkyl with 1 to 5 carbon atoms, prepared through the reaction of a L-Norcarnitina solution in acetic acid or triflourine acetic acid with a chloride alkanoid thus respectively achieving chloride or acetic triflourine from L-norcarnitina alkanoid. An aqueous solution of these salts is treated with a basic, strong resin, which makes the compounds in the general formula (I).
