Abstract

Single use hypodermic syringe assembly, comprises a needle (9) having its hub (10) engageable with and disengageable from the syringe barrel (1) forward hollow nose (2), the needle hub (10) also being engageable and disengageable w.r.t. the head (8) of a syringe plunger (5,6). Before use the needle (9) and hub (10) are on the plunger head (8) and inside the barrel (1). For use the needle hub (10) is engaged with the barrel nose (2), and after use the plunger head (8) is engaged with the hub (10) for retracting the needle (9) back into the barrel (1). Pref. the plunger stem (6) is then broken from the head portion (5) along a weakness line. @(14pp Dwg.No.1/1)@
