Abstract
A process for joining plural pieces of wood (A, B, C) obtained from a table (2) according to the removal of defects (3) present on the same, consisting of feeding the pieces (A, B, C) to a first miller unit (12) which effects milling on the front ends of all or some of the pieces (A, B, C), of inverting such pieces and of feeding them sequentially to a second miller unit (12') which effects milling on the back ends of all or some of the pieces (A, B, C) and finally sequentially feeding the pieces (A, B, C) to a press (20) so as to join them in the same order in which they were in the original table (2). A machine is also described for performing such a process.
