Abstract

This invention deals with a safety wire of diamond cutting-beads for the cutting of stone, concrete, and abrasive material and the like, in which the diamond cutting-beads are inserted into a thin steel wire/cable, or the like, and separated one from the other by a pre-established distance, and coupled and fixed in a definite and immoveable way to the steel wire/cable, in an axially non-sliding, and non-rotating way, by means of rubber, which covers and locks itself onto the steel wire/cable, and at the same time fills the spaces between the beads and the cable itself, as well as special radial and axial anchoring cavities, made in each bead, provided for in particular in the special small anchoring collar, on at least one end of each of the bead heads.The method for the manufacture of this type of cutting wire, substantially consists of the fact that the steel wire/cable, and the beads, are subjected to a preparation treatment, for example of total micro-sand blasting and/or pickling and de-greasing, with acid or basic solutions, according to the cable and bead material, and possibly also by barrelling. After complete drying, they are provided with a suitable glue, preferably of a catalyser type base, after which the wire/cable is put under a certain degree of pre-tension, with respective stretching, through the use of an openable injection mould, having a sleeve form, in which one or more diamond cutting beads are positioned and inserted into the wire/cable itself, and into which mould, the liquid rubber is injected. The diamond cutting-bead wire/cable thus obtained, has high safety quality, and consequently possesses special anti-accident characteristics.
