Abstract
The present invention concerns a friction mechanism, which is a transmission device set between mechanical, rotating parts, which must be enabled to be either independent or cooperating according to the different cases. The present friction comprises a brake, hereafter indicated as brake-friction, and is peculiar in that if it is a tumble brake, the disk is fixed to the traction part, while the tumble is fixed to the part to which said traction must be transmitted. Said parts correspond to two shafts, called respectively "starting" and "transmission" shaft, both shafts being supported by the same rotation axis. When said starting shaft is rotating, the gear control lever also rotates but is nonetheless started by an attrition generator (e.g. any traditional brake), so that said lever is transmitted an angle movement focused on its pin; as a consequence, the gear control cam forces said gears against said tumble, thus allowing for motion transmission to said transmission shaft. Therefore, friction is started by said attrition generator. More precisely, if said transmission shaft is fixed, the present mechanism works as a brake. In the case of the aforementioned example, it would brake the starting shaft.
