Abstract

The present invention concerns a method to realize panels made of mineral fibres, such as glass, fibres, stone wool and similar products. Said method envisages that free falling fibres be sprayed inside a collecting room (1, 2); a dressing unit comprising an inorganic binding additive, said additive containing a water solution of an alkaline silicate, and an inorganic softener containing a water emulsion of a polysiloxane. Mineral fibber fabric is then heated and compacted at a temperature of 120-130 degrees C in order to obtain a panel with constant thickness and stable dimensions and which will then be cut and refined.
