Abstract

The press has several tools, to press tiles, etc. from a powderised material. It has a stop press stand; a press cylinder with locking unit; a top transverse beam carrying the top press dies; and a bottom die. Each press tool consists of a bottom die traverse and a press traverse. The bottom die traverse (11) is fastened shock absorber-like via flexible supports (17) to the lower press stand section (1). The press traverse (12) is connected to the top traverse (8) via flexible driver elements (18). A locking device (13) is located between the two traverses (11,12).
