Abstract
Chemical nerve and/or blister agents are removed from non-polar solvents by passing through an adsorbent which preferentially removes them. The solvent is Freon (RTM). The solvent is trichlorotrifluoroethane which is purified to better than 1 ppm. The adsorbent is Fuller's Earth, activated charcoal, activated alumina, silica gel, opt. coated with a metallic salt, esp. CuSO4, Cu chloride or Fe chloride, or 40-60 mesh granular predried Fuller's Earth.
