Abstract

Procedure for inserting plastic sheeting between plates of glass, whether flat or curved , with a straight or curved outline, operating in conjunction with a conveyor of plates of glass (10) carrying in alternate succession male plates of glass (30) and female plates of glass (33), in which the male (30) and female (33) plates of glass are picked up and positioned alternately one (30) under the other (33) and spaced vertically, whereby the sheet of plastic (14) is inserted between the said plates of glass (30 and 33) before assembly of the three components (30, 14 and 33), the male (30) and female (33) sheets of glass reaching on specific conveyors (110 and 210) the respective pick-up stations (29) for male glass sheets (30) and pick-up (32) for female glass sheets (33), the said glass sheets (30 and 33) being taken from the respective male (11) and female (36) sheet glass centring units, the said centring units (11 and 36) in conjunction with side (28) and head (26) measuring devices providing the centring and mutual positioning, in the said pick-up station (29) for male glass sheets (30), the two glass sheets (30 and 33), with a carriage intervening (19) for inserting the plastic sheeting (14) to be inserted between the said sheets (30 and 33) and for depositing on the said male sheet (30) the said plastic sheet (14). Device for the insertion of plastic sheeting (14) between sheets of glass (30 and 33), adopting the procedure as described above.
