Scrap metal pressing device suitable for carrying out the procedure as above described, in which a pressing surface (11) is present with hinged (14-15) at the sides a first (12) and a second (13) cover, which can be operated by means of jacks, the said first cover (12) presenting a first component (16) and a second component (17) with a secondary press (21) of curved line, the said second cover (13) presenting in turn a first component (19) and a second component (20) with an external face (22) of curved line and a terminal (28), the curve of the secondary press (21) being an arc of a circle with radius (27) equal to the distance between the said terminal (28) and the said hinge axis (15) of the said second cover (13) and the curve of the internal face being any curve or line included in the arc of the circle starting from the said terminal (28) and generated from a radius (24) the generating centre of which is situated between the two hinge axes (14 and 15).
