Abstract

The closing machine includes a detecting member for the height of the box with open side flaps mounted in a vertically variable position on the closing assembly of the top flaps and connected mechanically to the drive which draws the box conveyors. The conveyance units are drawn together until they engage the sides of the box causing a corresp. movement of the detector. Fall of the closing member starts simultaneous from a raised neutral position and continues until engagement of the detecting member arranged with the top of an open side flap of the box. A brake stops the fall of the closing assembly.
