Abstract
Plant growth regulator compsn. comprises a regulator (I) and a 1-substd. -azacycloalkan-2-one of formula (II) is new. R1 = H or 1-4C alkyl; m = 3-7; n = 0-17; R 0 Me, Ph opt. substd. by a halogen or a gp. of formula (III). Provided that when m = 3 and R = Me, then n = 5-17. (II) is pref. 1-n-dodecyl azacyclohepton-2-one. A typical compsn. pref. contains 0.1-10 wt.% (II). In the compsn. (I) is any of a large number of known plant growth regulators, such as auxins, gibberelins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, maleic hydrazide etc. (I) is used for its known effects in the compsn. The compsns. may also be used in tissue culture procedures.
