Abstract
Dielectric (non-conducting) material usable, e.g. in the healing of fractured bones, comprises a metal coated with an electrically-insulating, biologically compatible thermoplastic polyamide. the polyamide serves as powdery anti-corrosion agent for the metal. The dielectric material is used in the form of plates, etc. in orthopaedics without disturbing the natural distribution of electrical potentials required for the normal regeneration of bone.
