Abstract
The copying machine for grinding watch glasses has a swinging frame consisting of uprights (4, 5) and a base (6) suspended from a tube (7) which is supported by a shaft (8). The blank (10) for the watch glass is clamped by a jaw (11) against the end of a stepped cylinder (3). The stepped cylinder (3) is rotated by an electric motor (20) through a belt and pulley. A pattern (18) which is an enlarged model of the finished watch glass is mounted on the face of the pulley. The pattern (18) presses against a roller (19) which actuates a lever (33). The lever (19) controls the movement of a jack (36) which swings the frame so that the blank (11) is moved, with respect to the grinding wheel (16) to reproduce the profile of the pattern (18).
