(II) contg. a promoter and a blowing agent at ambient temp., (c) mixing compsns. (I) and (II) with vigorous stirring to initiate the polymsn. (d) pouring the reaction mixt. into a container before the polymsn. of the lactam has exceeded 10 esp. 5%, and (e) completing the polymsn. A wide range of blowing agents can be used, including agents which volatilise and agents which decompose. Process is easily controlled and uniform foam pdts. are obtained.
