Abstract

COMPOSITE FUEL The present disclosure provides a fuel blend that is capable of reducing the consumption of petroleum based hydrocarbon fuel while maintaining the desired performance characteristics of the petroleum based hydrocarbon fuel, wherein the fuel blend can include a petroleum based hydrocarbon and a solid non-petroleum hydrocarbon material. The fuel blend may further include, if desired, other renewable fuels such as, biodiesel, bio-oils, anhydrous alcohol or mixtures thereof. The solid non-petroleum hydrocarbon material that can be mixed with the petroleum based hydrocarbon to form the fuel blend can be obtained from a renewable source and can include camphor, naphthalene, adamantane, terpenes, terpenoids and mixtures thereof.
