Abstract
The invention relates to a method for recognising partial discharges emitted inside or outside an electrical apparatus which after the detection of at least one partial discharge activity comprises the following steps: recording in a database in advance forms of partial discharges each associated with a type of fault which has generated said partial discharges; acquiring a new form of partial discharges (Dp); comparing (9) said new form of partial discharges with the forms of discharges already recorded in the database; obtaining by deduction (11) the fault corresponding to the electrical apparatus and recording (14) the result obtained in the database (12).
